From Dakar to Praia: Revitalising the HIV response in a changing regional context in West and Central Africa 

More than 200 HIV experts and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds are currently in Praia, Cape Verde from 30 to 01 June to discuss mechanisms to revitalise the response to HIV in the changing context of West and Central Africa.

The opening ceremony will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Cape Verde at the Amphitheatre of the National Assembly. Discussions will focus on innovations in HIV, health systems financing, children and adolescents, access to treatment for vulnerable populations, among other topics.

This was an opportunity for the personalities and other actors present to also advocate for greater consideration of CSOs at the community level and sustainable funding in the response to HIV in West and Central Africa.
